Speaking Topics:
The 💞 of Success
The Heart of Success: How being connected to your kid-self brings deep satisfaction across all areas of your life.
Life sure can knock you down. You lose someone, you get fired, you “win”, but it’s strangely empty. Huh. How do we get back up? How do we accomplish the big dream? How do we find our way to genuine fulfillment and satisfaction? Jorjeana Marie has a theory and in this inspiring talk, it’s going to be all about you and the kid you were (and still are).
YOU are an Idea Machine
Based on Jorjeana’s Google Talk connecting the philosophy of improvisation and the techniques of Einstein, Edison, etc.
Jorjeana uses the ten and a half rules of improvisational comedy combined with the creative rituals of history’s big thinkers to rev creativity and innovation and stir up your next big thing.
Improv for Writers
In Jorjeana’s most popular talk, she briefly goes over improv’s major philosophies and delivers a generative, fun workshop that surprises even the most cynical, hard on themselves writer - pages of work are the result and this playful, productive session is often a repeat workshop at festivals and conferences.
Improv for Leadership
Using the philosophy of improv as the catalyst for examining the fails and successes of leadership.
This is not a performance-based workshop. No trust falls, but trust will be dissected as well as other insightful elements form this two-hundred year-old pathway to greatness.
School Visits:
Write Yourself Silly
In this hands-on generative workshop, Jorjeana helps kids conquer the page with fun prompts, quick poetry sprints and silly act-outs, then write-downs (as inspired by improv - turned - sketch wrting in comedy)
Improv for Writers
The same workshop as above, but with Jorjeana’s ten + years experience as an arts educator, she adds a little more movement and play-acting because as we all know: kids are SO fearless. Set the fun-meter to HIGH.
Stand-Up Comedy 101
The modern child is savvy and has a LOT to say. In this workshop, kids are on their feet and in front of the microphone. Past attendees have shouted “This is my favorite workshop EVER!”
Using a simple step-gradient of microphone technique, loves and dislikes and, free-expression, kids perform the first comedy routine - live!
Poet, You Know It
In this whimsical workshop, Jorjeana shows examples of some of the most fun and playful poems on the shelves and encourages kids to add onomatopoeia and alliteration to their generative work.
Several other poetic forms and techniques are tucked into this silly session focused on creating work that is expressive, fun and leaves fear waiting outside in the hallway. Sharing optional.
Let’s goat to know each other.
